U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Steven Thorpe, an orthopedic surgeon with the Health Engagements Assistance Response Team (HEART) 2022, performs hip surgery on a Honduran patient July 20, 2022, at Hospital Escuela in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. During the four-week event, U.S. military members and Honduran medical professionals will focus on three surgical specialties: orthopedic, ophthalmological and dental.
