220714-N-SI601-1125 SOUTH CHINA SEA (July 14, 2022) Boatswain’s Mate Seaman Chumani Duke, from Columbia, South Carolina, cuts a line connected to the Military Sealift Command fleet replenishment oiler USNS Yukon (T-AO 202) in the hangar bay of the U.S. Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) during a replenishment-at-sea. During the evolution, Yukon transported cargo and fuel to Ronald Reagan via connected replenishment. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the United States, and supports alliances, partnerships and collective maritime interests in the Indo-Pacific region.
