Staff Sgt. Justin Douglas, a gunnery sergeant assigned to B Battery, 3-29 Field Artillery Regiment, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, poses for a photo in front of “Bad Batch,” an M109 Paladin Self-Propelled Howitzer on display at Eurosatory 2022 June 14, in Paris, France.
“I was selected to attend Eurosatory 2022 as the subject matter expert when it comes to the M109 Paladin,” Douglas said. “Lethality and timely fires make us an asset on the battlefield. We are a max-casualty producing weapon and that’s what makes us so valuable.”
Articulate subject matter experts are integral in effectively communicating U.S. battlefield capabilities, building trust with our NATO allies and furthering our efforts for interoperability – the ability of our Soldiers and systems to operate effectively in conjunction with those of our partner nations. The Army is dedicated to its modernization strategy, making units more lethal, to win our nation’s wars and return home safely.
