    220706-M-WC972-3026 MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII (July 6, 2022) Lieutenant Jordan Chee, a small boat operator from Townsville, Australia, assigned to the 2nd Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment, Australian Army, watches as U.S. Marines attached to Battalion Landing Team 3rd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, Marine Air-Ground Task Force 7 "Ripper," with the U.S. Marine Corps, Sri Lanka Navy Marines, the Indonesian Marine Corps, Mexican Naval Infantry, and the Australian Army complete small boat training on Marine Corps Base Hawaii on July 6, 2022, in support of Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC). Twenty-six nations, 38 ships, four submarines, more than 170 aircraft and 25,000 personnel are participating in RIMPAC from June 29 to Aug. 4 in and around the Hawaiian Islands and Southern California. The world’s largest international maritime exercise, RIMPAC provides a unique training opportunity while fostering and sustaining cooperative relationships among participants critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security on the world’s oceans.
