220630-N-YQ181-1028 PHILIPPINE SEA (June 30, 2022) – Hull Technician 3rd Class Giovanni Moctezuma, left, from Taylorsville, Georgia, and Hull Technician 3rd Class Kyle Owens, from Nampa, Idaho, braze a drain pipe in the machine shop aboard the U.S. Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). Ronald Reagan’s Hull Technicians are able to replace and repair mission-critical tools and parts while underway. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the United States, and supports alliances, partnerships and collective maritime interests in the Indo-Pacific region.
