PACIFIC OCEAN (June 27, 2022) Fire Controlman 3rd Class Alexander Alanis (left), a native of San Diego, California, and Fire Controlman 2nd Class Lucas Ribeiro (right), a native of Zebulon, Georgia, assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4), perform maintenance on the Phalanx Close-in Weapon System (CWIS) used for terminal defense against anti-ship missiles during the ship’s first underway in more than two years after completing a planned maintenance availability.
