YOKOSUKA, Japan (June 16, 2022) – Hull Maintenance Technician 2nd Class Ryan Misuraca, from Las Vegas, listens to damage control central through the sound powered telephone during a flying squad drill aboard U.S. 7th Fleet flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19) June 16, 2022. The ship’s flying squad consists of the first responders for damage control casualties. Blue Ridge is the oldest operational ship in the Navy and, as 7th Fleet command ship, actively works to foster relationships with allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific region.
