U.S. Air Force Lt. Gen. Steven Basham, U.S. Air Forces in Europe-Air Forces Africa deputy commander, visited U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Tyler Mayes (left), a C-17 Globemaster III loadmaster and Lt. Col. Cory Kemble a C-17 pilot, both assigned to the 315th Airlift Wing, Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina, and coined Mayes for outstanding performance during the Innovation and Leadership in Aerospace Tradeshow in Berlin, at the Berlin Expo Center Airport, Germany, June 24, 2022. Basham also coined other Airmen, Soldiers and a Sailor who each specialize in a variety of areas including weapons, electronic warfare, crew chiefs, a loadmaster and security forces, for the support they provided to U.S. military aircraft participating in the event.
