Innovative physical therapy extender program expands access to medical care for Coalition forces.

New “medical extenders for the Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve Combined Joint operations area pose for a photo with Col. Pamela DiPatrizio (center), the chief of clinical operations for, Master Sgt. John Waderker (third from left), the senior enlisted advisor for the CJOA Surgeon’s Cell, and Maj. Troy Reid (third from right), the physical therapist for Task Force Grizzly, June 7, 2022, at Erbil Air Base, Iraq. The physical therapy medical extender program is a CJTF-OIR initiative designed to reduce service member wait times for physical therapy care and to empower combat medics throughout the theater to provide physical therapy treatment and rehabilitation to patients in the physical therapist’s stead. Task Force Grizzly is a subordinate unit of CJTF-OIR’s Task Force Med.
