PACIFIC OCEAN (June 23, 2022) – Sailors demonstrate fighting a simulated fire to families and friends aboard transport dock ship USS Anchorages (LPD 23) in the vehicle stowage area during a family day cruise. Friends and family members were invited aboard Anchorage to experience a day in the life of a Sailor at sea first-hand. Anchorage is currently home ported in San Diego as part of Amphibious Squadron SEVEN, along with USS John P. Murtha (LPD 26) and USS Makin Island (LHD 8).
