Master Sgt. Clifford Jackson III holds his son, Airman 1st Class Clifford Jackson IV, for the first time in Winston-Salem, N.C., in November 2000. Jackson and his son continue a family tradition of military service that dates back to WWII. Sergeant Jackson currently serves as the 39th Air Base Wing command section superintendent, and Airman Jackson is a materiel management technician assigned to the 39th Logistics Readiness Squadron. The father-son team provide each other with a sense of home while serving their short tours together at Incirlik Air Base, Turkey. They meet at least once a week to share a meal and discuss a variety of issues related to personal and professional growth.
