Paratroopers from the 82nd Airborne Brigade serve as the color guard for a ceremony at the Eglise Notre Dame in Hemevez, France on the 78th anniversary of the invasion, June 6, 2022.
The ceremony in Hemevez honored the service and sacrifice of twelve American paratroopers from the 82nd Airborne and the French villagers who helped some of those Soldiers survive after foul weather during the para drop separated them from their unit on D-Day.
