SAN DIEGO (May 9, 2022) – Fernando Tatis Jr., a professional baseball player from the San Diego Padres, signs autographs for Capt. Pete Riebe, commanding officer of amphibious transport dock ship USS Anchorage (LPD 23), during a tour, May 9. The Padres were the first professional sports team to have a Military Affairs department, and since have been recognized as 'The Team of the Military' throughout professional sports.
