BM3 Andrew Oats and a student from LEARN DC take a break for a picture while touring a 29’ Response Boat-Small at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in Washington D.C. on April 27th, 2022. Station Washington crew members gave tours of the boat and demonstrated water safety as part of the Coast Guard’s Partnership in Education program (PIE). PIE unites the Coast Guard family with local schools and communities through opportunities to work directly with students which enhances educational opportunities and raises awareness about the Service.
