    Naval Service Training Command

220309-N-N0485-0034 NEWPORT, R.I. (March 09, 2022) Lt. Molly Schleicher, a class officer assigned to Officer Training Command Newport (OTCN), Rhode Island, quizzes an Officer Candidate School (OCS) student during an Officer Personnel Inspection (OPI), March 9. OPI measures a candidate’s knowledge about any topic eligible for inspection and checks for confidence and competence while wearing the seasonal uniform that will be worn for graduation. OCS morally, mentally, and physically develops civilians and fleet sailors into newly commissioned officers and imbues them with the highest ideals of honor, courage, and commitment in order to prepare graduates for service in the fleet as Naval officers.
