Sgt. 1st Class Daniel Horner competes in the 2022 U.S. Army Small Arms Championships and at the end is named the All Army Champion. Horner is currently serving as a National Guard Soldier in California and was a prior member of the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit.

More than 220 Soldiers competed in the 2022 U.S. Army Small Arms Championships at Fort Benning, Georgia March 13-19. The week-long competition, known as All Army, is an annual competition hosted by the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit (USAMU) in conjunction with the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCoE) that brings together Soldiers from all components: active duty, Reserve, National Guard and ROTC. During this marksmanship event, the Soldiers competed in nine separate courses of fire and shot over 146,000 rounds of rifle and pistol ammunition. Though All Army earns the Soldiers coveted trophies and bragging rights, the overall purpose of the training event is to develop Soldiers’ marksmanship skills, recognize superior skills and raise the standards of marksmanship across the entire force.
