General Wayne Eyre, Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) Chief of the Defence Staff, traveled to Colorado Springs, Colorado, Mar. 30-31, 2022, for an official visit with Gen. Glen VanHerck, Commander, NORAD and U.S. Northern Command, and the NORAD command team, including Lieutenant-General Alain Pelletier, Deputy Commander, NORAD. This is General Eyre's first visit to the bi-national command since being appointed CDS on Nov. 25, 2021. Aside from meeting with NORAD and USNORTHCOM leadership to discuss the current and future relationship in the bi-national command and defense of the nations, General Eyre led a town hall event and met with CAF members assigned to the command.
