General Wayne Eyre, Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) Chief of the Defence Staff, is greeted by Gen. Glen VanHerck, Commander, NORAD and U.S. Northern Command, and Lieutenant-General Alain Pelletier, Deputy Commander, NORAD, at the beginning of an official visit to the commands’ headquarters at Colorado Springs, Colorado, Mar. 31, 2022. This is General Eyre's first visit to the bi-national command since being appointed CDS on Nov. 25, 2021. Aside from meeting with NORAD and USNORTHCOM leadership to discuss the current and future relationship in the bi-national command and defense of the nations, General Eyre led a town hall event and met with CAF members assigned to the command.
