    145th Airlift Wing, North Carolina Air National Guard

    U.S. Airmen assigned to the North Carolina Air National Guard (NCANG), 145th Civil Engineering Squadron (CES), respond to and attempt to extinguish a simulated aircraft mishap just outside the NCANG Base, Charlotte Douglas International Airport, Mar. 6, 2022. The 145th CES coordinated with the Charlotte Fire Department and other local authorities to simulate an aircraft mishap and what steps to handle in the event of such a disaster. This is the first exercise of this kind since the 1990s involving many moving parts including local fire departments, Emergency Management and the 145th Airlift Wing.
