This is the very first photo ever taken of the author and her Soldier valentine. It was in 2006 at the Hoffman II Building in Alexandria, Virginia, where the U.S. Army Human Resources Command was located at that time. They met while both working in separate sections of the U.S. Army’s Casualty and Mortuary Affairs Operations Center.
