Scott Dingle, the U.S. Army Surgeon General and Commander of the U.S. Army Medical Command presents Dr. Diana Villazanakretzer, medical doctor, maternal-fetal medicine, and surgeon, Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center with a commanders coin for her roll with helping the team during an emergency delivery that saved both mother and newborn over the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday weekend. The team rapidly identified a problem in the laboring mother, initiated lifesaving steps, and mother and baby are safely recovering.
