Senior Airman Mouhamed Kane, a Radar Approach Control air traffic controller assigned to the 39th Operations Support Squadron, makes contact with an aircraft at Incirlik Air Base, Turkey, Oct. 12, 2021. RAPCON provides adequate separation between aircraft and issues safety alerts and traffic advisories for all U.S. aircraft within 50 miles of every direction and from the ground to 27,000 feet in the air. The 39th OSS leads airfield and support operations to orchestrate U.S., NATO and partner nation forces operating at Incirlik AB in the execution of global reach, full-spectrum airpower and deterrence operations.
