The image shows naval personnel on what appears to be a ship's deck performing a line-handling or rigging operation. A worker in a blue hard hat and safety vest is closely examining or working on a rope/line junction, while a supervisor in a white hard hat observes in the background. The setting appears to be an open ocean environment based on the visible horizon.

211118-N-FA490-1009 SOUTH CHINA SEA (Nov. 18, 2021) Boatswain’s Mate 2nd Class Patrick Hix, from Independence, Mo., cuts the stopper on a span wire during a replenishment-at-sea (RAS) between the Independence-variant littoral combat ship USS Jackson (LCS 6) and the Henry J. Jackson, part of Destroyer Squadron Seven, is on a rotational deployment in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operation to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready-response force in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
