The 263rd Army Air and Missile Defense Command (AAMDC), South Carolina National Guard, recognized the promotion of U.S. Army Brig. Gen. Frank M. Rice to major general, Nov. 6, 2021 in Anderson, South Carolina. Rice was pinned by U.S. Army Maj. Gen. R. Van McCarty, the adjutant general for South Carolina. After the promotion ceremony, Rice assumed command of the 263rd AAMDC.
