U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Isaac Welch, a recruiter assigned to the North Carolina Army National Guard Recruiting & Retention Battalion, participates in the Wake Forest University and Winston-Salem State University 5th Annual climb to remember stadium stair run at TRUIST field, Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Sept. 11, 2021. Participants climbed approximately 2,997 stairs, which represents the lives lost during the tragic day.
