Major General Tracy R. Norris, the Adjutant General of Texas, presents the Texas Superior Service Medal on Maj. Gen. Patrick Hamilton, outgoing commanding general of 36th Infantry Division, Oct., 31, 2021, during a ceremony at Camp Mabry in Austin Texas. The ceremony was held for Hamilton to commemorate his more than 35 years of service in the Texas Army National Guard. Hamiltom has served as the as the chief of operations for the U.S. Sector, Operation Noble Eagle where he served as a battalion commander, Operation Enduring Freedom where he served as the Red Team leader for the 101st Airborne Division, commanding general and dual status commander during the Hurricane Harvey response, and commanding general for Task Force Spartan in support of Operation Spartan Shield.
