U.S. Army Maj. Shawn Pyer, former commander of the 142nd Medical Company, presents a riding crop that belonged to Lt. Col. Michael Myslinski, the unit's first commander after reconstitution, to the current commander Maj. Amanda Griffiths at the Army Aviation Support Facility in Windsor Locks, Conn. on Oct. 24, 2021. The unit was mobilizing in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve and heading to Texas before deploying to Poland. The riding crop was used by Myslinski as a prop in an unofficial command photo.
