U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Justin Bergeron, 56th Equipment Maintenance Squadron wheel and tire journeyman, uses a wheel-bearing packer Oct. 14, 2021, at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona. In order to expedite the future use of wheel bearings, Airmen pre-inspect, clean and re-pack the bearings with grease to ensure the bearings are ready for use once needed. The wheel and tire shop provides essential and reliable aircraft parts for the F-35A Lightning II and F-16 Fighting Falcon, supporting the world’s greatest fighter pilots and combat-ready Airmen.
