Phyllis Hayden-Burkett and Amy Hayden, family members of U.S. Marine Corps Private 1st Class Harold W. Hayden, study one of the glass cases in the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) laboratory during a visit at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, Oct. 8, 2021. Hayden went Missing in Action during the battle of Tarawa on Nov. 22, 1943, and was identified March 3, 2020. The remains will be transported to Arlington National Cemetery, Virginia, where he will be buried with full military honors.
