Senior Airman Dexter Riggins, 374th Logistics Readiness Squadron fuels facilities technician, turns a valve on a liquid oxygen storage tank at Yokota Air Base, Japan, Sept. 30, 2021. The 374th Logistic Readiness Squadron Fuels Management Flight is responsible for receiving, distributing, and storing liquid materials to support flight operations and ensure home station aircraft, transient aircraft and any supporting vehicles are adequately fueled to sustain Yokota’s vital airlift mission. Cryogenics, a section of the Fuels Management Flight, focuses on liquid oxygen, which in a gas form, it is put into aircraft and used by pilots as breathable oxygen when at higher altitudes.
