Jose Perez, both ground sensor operators assigned to the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), use a Ground Based Observational Surveillance System to search for nearby surface contacts while transiting the Strait of Hormuz aboard amphibious transport dock USS Portland (LPD 27).
