COMLOG WESTPAC/CTF 73 Holds Sept. 11 Remembrance Ceremony

7TH FLEET AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY (Sept. 11, 2021) – Capt. Hans Sholley, Singapore Area Coordinator commanding officer, speaks as part of a Sept. 11 ceremony. During the ceremony, military leaders placed three wreaths on command flagpoles in remembrance of the lives lost during terrorist attacks on that date 20 years ago. Then, a chief master-at-arms struck a command bell 20 times, once for each year since airplanes crashed into the World Trade Center Twin Towers, the Pentagon and in a field in Somerset, Pennsylvania. "Keep those who were lost on that day and the days following in your thoughts. Make their sacrifice worth it by being that leader who never forgets, ensuring those we lead never forget," said Rear Adm. Philip Sobeck, commander, Logistics Group Western Pacific and Task Force 73, who placed a wreath in honor of those lost during the attacks on the Twin Towers in New York City.
