U.S. Coast Guard Petty Officer 3rd Class Noah Ferris, a boatswains mate aboard U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Munro, assists a member of the Philippine Coast Guard aboard Munro during a maritime engagement Aug. 31, 2021, in the West Philippine Sea. The USCG has a long history of cooperation with the Philippine Coast Guard, and in 2019, the Coast Guard Cutter Bertholf conducted similar engagements with the Philippine Coast Guard as part of its Western Pacific deployment, focusing on search and rescue, maritime security, and law enforcement capabilities.
