PACIFIC OCEAN (Aug. 26, 2021) An MH-60S Sea Hawk, assigned to the ‘Wildcards’ of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 23, prepares for take-off from the flight deck aboard Independence-variant littoral combat ship USS Jackson (LCS 6). The Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) is a fast, agile, mission-focused platform designed to operate in near-shore environments, winning against 21st-century coastal threats.
