PACIFIC OCEAN (Aug. 17, 2021) A member from the U.S. Coast Guard Law Enforcement Detachment 107 checks the frequency on a radio in support of Oceania Maritime Security Initiative (OMSI) on the bridge aboard Independence-variant littoral combat ship USS Jackson (LCS 6). Jackson is deployed in support of the OMSI program, a secretary of defense, program leveraging Department of Defense assets transiting the region to increase the Coast Guard’s maritime domain awareness, ultimately supporting its maritime law enforcement operations in Oceania.
