Dock workers prepare tie-down ropes as USS Gridley (DDG 101) passes the Surface Warfare Engineering Facility on its way to Wharf 5 at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division on July 7. DDG 101 is an Arleigh Burke-class destroyer named after Capt. Charles Gridley, who commanded USS Olympia in the Battle of Manila Bay during the Spanish-American War. Gridley received the famous order, "You may fire when ready, Gridley!" from Adm. George Dewey during that event. (U.S. Navy Photo by Eric Parsons/Released)
