Christian Mallamo, a KC-130J Hercules pilot with Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 252, explains the array of buttons inside the cockpit of a Hercules to an elementary school student during a visit to Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point Sept. 26 Twenty-eight students from St. Paul Catholic School in nearby New Bern, N.C., took a field trip to the air station to visit the Hercules squadron and Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 467. “Aviation is contagious,” said Mallamo. “I hope they got the bug.”
