U.S. Army elements from Company C, 4th Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment, 4th Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, from Fort Lewis, Wash., transport a trauma victim to a U.S. Army medical helicopter on Sept. 30 in Tarmiyah, Iraq. Earlier that day al-Qaida members caused an explosion, wounding many Iraqi civilians. U.S. Army medics assisted local hospital personnel in administering aid to trauma victims before calling in a medevac.
