Staff Sgt. Ray Santiago of Fort Benning's Ranger Training Brigade is honored on the field of the Georgia Dome. The Atlanta Falcons and the Home Depot selected Santiago as their Hometown Hero at the game against the Carolina Panthers for his exemplary service. Santiago works as a Ranger Instructor and won the Maneuver Center of Excellence (Fort Benning, Ga.) Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year in 2011. Later that year he placed second at the Non-Commissioned Office of the Year competition for the entire U.S. Army.
