Javier Hernandez, assistant to the Pico Rivera city manager, points out areas of the Whittier Narrows Dam Safety Project to California State Senator Bob Archuleta, July 17, 2021, at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District display in Pico Rivera, California. A trio of LA District experts answered questions about the Whittier Narrows Dam Safety Modification Project. The team of Project Senior Engineer Doug Chitwood, Project Manager Patty Kimura and Park Ranger Nick Figueroa participated in Pico Rivera's community event to inform the public about Whittier Narrows Dam. The event highlighted the Corps' project and other civic projects.
