200629-N-AC165-0003 NORFOLK, Va. (July, 16, 2021) – Chartered by U.S. Navy Military Sealift Command, heavy lift container ship MV SLNC Magothy arrived Naval Station Norfolk on July 16 in support of Pacer Goose Sustainment 2021, an annual resupply mission to move a year’s worth of sustainment material into Thule Air Force Base in Greenland, located 750 miles north of the Arctic Circle. The fire struck is of one several heavy cargo items headed for Thule.
