Matthew Ventimiglia, executive officer of aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), serves cookies for Nancy Reagan’s 100th birthday celebration on the aft mess decks in the Arabian Sea, July 6. Ronald Reagan’s bake shop made more than 500 cookies using Nancy Reagan’s favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe to honor her memory. Ronald Reagan is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
