A person wearing black gloves is holding a clear plastic evidence or specimen bag containing what appears to be a small fibrous or textile fragment. The item inside the bag appears degraded or weathered, with frayed edges and a grayish-white coloration. The context suggests this may be a forensic, archaeological, or environmental sampling activity.

A U.S. Air Force Airman patch is found at Colony Glacier, Alaska, June 23, 2021. In November 1952, an Air Force C-124 Globemaster II crashed into nearby Mount Gannett in the Chugach Mountains killing all 52 service members onboard. Every summer since 2012, Alaskan Command, Alaska National Guard, Air Force Mortuary Affairs Operations, U.S. Army Alaska, the 673rd Air Base Wing and Det.1, 66th Training Squadron personnel support the joint effort of Operation Colony Glacier, a mission to recover human remains and remove aircraft debris.
