Karen Key Pierce recalls her childhood with her father Lt. Cmdr. Lester Kee before he was killed while flying a P2V Neptune aircraft on June 14, 1951. Kee , a member of Fleet Aircraft Service Squadron 795 was the co-pilot on a routine training mission from Naval Air Station Jacksonville when the aircraft caught fire and made an emergency landing in a wooded area on Fleming Island, Florida.
