Lt. Col. Steven Jackowski and Command Sgt. Maj. Jesus Pena, the 2nd Battalion 8th Cavalry Regiment command team ,present Pfc. Deante Barnes, Spc. Blake Avenetti and Sgt. 1st Class David Hughes with Army Achievement Medals for attaining the battalion "Top Gun" in Pabrade, Lithuania, April 15. During reconnaissance and security operations, there is a high probability that Scouts will come into direct contact with the enemy. It is vitally important that they are able to engage and destroy the enemy with overwhelming firepower to survive these encounters. Troopers from 2nd Batt. 8th Cav.
