    Army Reserve Medical Command

    U.S. Army Reserve Capt. Loretta Villarreal, operating room nurse assigned to the 6253rd U.S. Medical Hospital in Mesa, Ariz., conducts a medical screening on Avery Montgomery, U.S. Air Force veteran attending East Bay Stand Down 2012 located at the Alameda Fairgrounds Pleasanton, Calif., Sept. 13-16, 2012. The EBSD is a unique civil-military collaborative program offered through the Department of Defense's Innovative Readiness Training program. The exercise allows soldiers to carry out their medical specialties in a real world environment while providing administration, training and medical services to needy, displaced and homeless veterans throughout the San Francisco Bay Area from Sept. 13-16, 2012.
