The 593rd Sustainment Brigade conducted its change of command, assumption of command, and casing ceremony June 8, 2012, at Watkins Field, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash. In the photograph, from left to right are Col. Douglas M. McBride Jr., newly installed brigade commander, Maj. Gen. Lloyd Miles, the deputy commanding general, I Corps, handing the traditional coin to Col. Scott J. Lofreddo, outgoing brigade commander, in appreciation for a job well done. The brigade colors were also cased in this ceremony signifying the brigades scheduled deployment.
