Two aircrew members from Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron Fourteen (HS-14) confirm the identity of U.S. Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Tanner Brown, at right, prior to extracting him from the landing zone as part of a simulated Combined Search and Rescue (CSAR) operation, Sept. 14, 2012. HS-14 is attached to aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73) for the duration of Valiant Shield 2012, a biennial U.S. military exercise designed to improve communication and teamwork between different service branches. The exercise lasts from Sept. 11 - 19, 2012.
