"Brickyard" Soldiers of the Army Reserve's Indianapolis-based 310th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), deployed to Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, posted the names of the fallen on a fence along the route, honored fallen warriors at the "Gold Mile," such as Lt. Col. Charles "Chad" Buehring, part of their May 16, 2021, hosting of a shadow running of their hometown's Mini Marathon through the camp. Buehring was killed during a rocket attack upon the Coalition Provisional Authority headquarters in Baghdad, Iraq, Oct. 26, 2003. Camp Buehring, Kuwait, is named for his memory.
