(May 7, 2021)-Sailors assigned to Naval Submarine Support Facility (NSSF) Weapons Department onboard Naval Submarine Base New London put up flood gates to secure a door as part of Hurricane Exercise/Citadel Gale 2021 (HURREX/CG 21). HURREX/CG 21 is an annual exercise led by U.S. Fleet Forces Command and Commander, Navy Installations Command, and is designed to allow the Navy to review, exercise, and validate their response plans and operational capabilities to adverse weather and maintain the ability to deploy forces under the most severe conditions.
